Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
- Assign duties and supervise chefs and cooks to ensure proper food preparation and presentation.
- Maintain control over the kitchen to guarantee tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Address any issues promptly to ensure customers receive their meals on time.
- Ensure all kitchen and service staff follow food safety and hygiene standards for a clean, sanitary environment.
- Plan menus and adjust prices as needed, based on ingredient availability.
- Inspect both raw and cooked food to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
- Work closely with the general manager and owner to ensure kitchen operations align with the establishment’s goals.
- Manage monthly inventory and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Recruit, hire, and train kitchen staff, including chefs and cooks.
- Ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment, and schedule repairs and additional upkeep as required.
