Job Description
- Cash Flow and Liquidity Management: Ensure the availability of cash for day-to-day business needs by regularly monitoring cash balances and projecting future cash flows. Strategically manage excess cash and borrowing requirements through investments and repayments.
- Banking and Transaction Management: Oversee the execution of financial transactions, including wire transfers, payments, and other cash movements. Ensure all transactions are processed following company policies, with authorized signatory approval.
- Bank Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with banking institutions, leveraging these relationships to secure favorable terms for financial services and enhance operational efficiency.
- Risk Mitigation: Implement strategies to minimize financial risk, particularly related to foreign exchange (FX) exposure. Ensure the efficient processing of inward and outward payments to avoid potential losses.
- Treasury Procedures: Develop and maintain treasury policies, ensuring they are aligned with company goals. Streamline processes for effective cash management, payments, and risk control.
- Regulatory and Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards across all banking and treasury activities. Collaborate with internal departments to meet all compliance requirements.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small team (1-2 members), providing guidance to ensure effective daily cash operations and adherence to treasury best practices.
Job Requirement:
- Min 6 years of relevant experience in banking and/or commodity trading industries: The candidate should have extensive hands-on experience within the banking sector or in commodity trading, demonstrating a deep understanding of financial management, market dynamics, and operational processes.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a professional accounting certification: A solid educational background is required, either through a degree in finance or accounting, or a recognized professional qualification in accounting, ensuring a strong grasp of financial reporting and analysis.
- Proven experience working with major Chinese financial institutions: The role demands specific experience in interacting with key Chinese banks like ICBC, BOC, etc., with familiarity in navigating their banking systems and compliance requirements.
- Established relationships with Chinese banks: The candidate must have existing professional relationships with these institutions, enabling easier negotiation and access to financial services, credit facilities, or favorable terms.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin: Fluency in both languages is essential, with Mandarin being a must due to frequent and complex interactions with Chinese financial counterparts and stakeholders, requiring both verbal and written communication skills.
