Technical Responsibilities
- Delivers pipe stress and other miscellaneous calculations efficiently and effectively manages multiple tasks independently and in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Utilises CAESAR II and AutoPIPE engineering software as well as company proprietary Microsoft Excel spreadsheets as required. Conversant with relevant International Codes of Practice as well as engineering and industry standards
- Provide necessary sketches and guidance to piping designers or drafting team and verify that Piping requirements are reflected in the design. Ensure output is completed on time, on budget, and exceeding quality standards
- Assists in preparation of datasheets and checking of piping material take off
- Assists in design reviews and participate in other discipline reviews if required. Ensures incorporation of all Piping-related review comments. Detailed review of drawings for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy and adherence to company standards
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships internally. Engages with inter-discipline community and promotes networking and knowledge sharing
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering Specialisation from an accredited university
- 1+ years professional engineering in the related field. Fresh Graduates are strongly welcomed to apply.
- Excellent technical communication (oral and written) skills with proven ability to present technical issues to design teams and project engineering teams
- Self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects
- Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels
