Commercial Executive
Reporting to the Manager, Commercial and Costing, you will be an integral member of the group’s Commercial Team, focusing on shipbuilding and ship repair. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates aspiring for a career in the global marine and offshore industry, including mid-career professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse vessel specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of shipowners from both the public and private sectors.
- Work closely with our internal production and design teams to evaluate material, equipment and labour costs, as well as any additional expenses related to the ship design and construction process.
- Conduct research on market prices for materials, equipment and services to support cost estimation for new shipbuilding projects.
- Develop costing reports for management approval.
- Contribute to value engineering solutions without compromising quality.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related engineering field.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in cost estimation in the marine and offshore industry.
- A basic understanding of shipbuilding and shipping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Good analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with internal teams and clients worldwide.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
