● Manage a shift efficiently to ensure that all stations are sufficiently covered such that sales and guest satisfaction are always optimized.
● Assist in placing daily orders (coffee, paper goods, jars, office supplies, etc.).
● Assist in adjusting order pars as needed while managing proper inventory.
● Assist in ensuring orders have been placed.
● Check prep daily (making sure prep staff is properly preparing correct amounts).
● Keep track of waste, check expiration dates daily (making sure product is properly rotated).
● Ensure proper food handling and presentation.
● Responsible for designating stations for line cooks at start of shift / return from break.
● Assist in keeping order on the line and in the restaurant (FOH and BOH); by example and ensure that all staff are working efficiently while maintaining a professional yet fun atmosphere during shift (organization and cleanliness).
● Conduct line checks on all shifts to ensure organized and efficient service.
● Assist in holding all staff accountable for daily responsibilities.
● Assist in creating FOH schedules and assisting with BOH scheduling, ensuring that staff schedules are being adhered to.
● Assist in managing cash handling systems (counting registers/safes/noting and explaining monetary discrepancies/managing discounts and refunds/bank deposits/getting change).
● Assist in resolving any issues on cash tracking.
● Assist in keeping staff accountable (address mistakes, tardiness, absenteeism, etc.).
● Assist in labor control by making staff cuts when needed and making sure breaks are taken accordingly.
● Assist in delegating tasks to employees (cleaning, side work, etc.).
● Assist in ensuring the proper Opening and Closing procedures of the store; ensure opening and closing store is done properly.
● Stand in for Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager on days off/when unavailable.
● Assist in assuring that the highest standards for product quality, standard adherence and unit performance are upheld (maintaining proper food handling and presentation, customer satisfaction, low ticket times).
● Assist in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of walk-in and dry storage (ensure all deliveries are properly put away and stored accordingly).
● Assist in maintenance issues (reaching out/following up with repairs, etc.).
● Assist in training new employees.
● Assist in handling and resolving customer complaints.
● Maintain a high level of communication with management.
● Assist in managing monthly inventory.
● Assist in documenting employee issues (lateness, tardiness, and performance issues), food issues (items out of stock, line check notes about quality), sales, labor, and other pertinent information.
● Assist in ensuring documents and invoices are filed properly.
