The role

We are looking for a Copywriter & Content Strategist to work alongside creative and accounts teams to conceptualise, develop and produce textual content for campaigns and collaterals for social media, advertisements, events and activations.

The Copywriter & Content Strategist should have strong working knowledge of the digital media landscape. Experience in digital marketing is favoured.

We are seeking someone who is plugged in to the zeitgeist. A digital native with original ideas, with a good grasp of new and emerging platforms and trends. A Copywriter & Content Strategist who’s a natural storyteller who can decode internet language and code switch for audiences ranging from Gen Alpha to Auntie.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret creative briefs to provide clear understanding of objectives and work required
  • Comprehend communication strategies through creative briefings, and work closely with the designers to generate innovative ideas and concepts to fulfil clients’ brief
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with account managers and directors
  • Develop press releases and content briefs for partner publishers such as media and influencers
  • Present ideas to internal teams and clients
  • Familiarise with clients’ products/services, target audience and their competitors’ activities
  • Collaborate closely with account and planning teams
  • Lead junior/middleweight creative teams in projects and provide clear direction
  • Write clear and persuasive copy
  • Build strong relationship with clients
  • Proofread copy to check spelling and grammar
  • Revise or redevelop ads or campaigns in response to feedback from creative team, account team, or clients
  • Oversee campaigns through the production stage to completion
  • Execute work on several campaigns when required
  • Be passionate about social media, new platforms and emerging tech, share helpful information with colleagues, and provide inspiring creative ideas for works.
  • Take responsibility and keep commitments when facing challenges or deadlines

Required Skills & Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a communications/copywriting role at regional/global creative agencies.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering excellent campaigns.
  • Ability to write good, clear copy in a variety of styles with accurate spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to write copy that is original and impactful that meets the clients’ briefs.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management and organisation with an acute attention to detail.
  • Outstanding command of the English language, written and spoken.
  • High level of personal credibility, dependability, and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage critical situations.
  • Passion for the work and dedication to craft.
