Job Description:
- Review tenders and projects and identify and explain legal risks to the respective company stakeholders
- Draft, review and negotiate sales, support/maintenance, professional services, reseller, distribution and supplier agreements, statements of work, memorandum of understandings, letters of intent, software licensing agreements, maintenance and support agreements, consortium and teaming agreements, prime and sub-contracts
- Advise on day-to-day general legal matters that arise in the context of business or corporate requirements including advice on data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property and competition/trade issues
- Develop, educate, implement and enforce legal policies in conjunction with management
- Support, monitor, advise and ensure compliance on compliance related matters
- Assist in performing corporate secretarial work and handling the contract database if required
- Attending to ad-hoc regional assigned matters
Job Requirements:
- PQE of between 7 to 10 years of legal working experience in Singapore and preferably called to the Bar in any Commonwealth countries. Applicants who have not been called but possess sufficient in house experience will also be given due consideration
- Possess some legal work experience related to the IT industry
- Proficient in drafting and negotiating various types of IT technology related agreements and other forms of contracts with customers, suppliers and partners
- Possess good interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work with business and corporate division stakeholders on various legal issues
- Able to work independently, multi task and prioritize work
