A Sales Manager in room sales is responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities in the areas of room reservations by driving sales acquisitions, maximizing business opportunities and increasing business conversions
What will you be doing?
As Sales Manager in room sales, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Acquire new business and maintain existing business relationships with accounts.
- Proactively liaise with business support and revenue team for optimised pricing strategy and support for exceptional service delivery from operations teams of Front Office, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage to deliver exemplary guest service.
- Support dynamic pricing contracting with corporate accounts and direct connectivity with leisure accounts for transient bookings.
- Conduct sales visits, product presentations (including virtual sessions), site inspections and attend tradeshows to drive business acquisitions.
- Produce accurate and timely reports including but not limiting to sales calls reports, account development planner and post show/tradeshow event summary.
- Respond to all RFPs and guests’ enquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare business case to support new RFPs acquisitions.
- Actively communicate with Hilton Sales Worldwide teams to support new account acquisition, market penetration and business conversion.
- Qualify business opportunities, prepare corporate rate agreements based on static rates or dynamic rate contracting.
- Ensure accurate rate loading upon signed agreement returned to hotel or RFP accepted.
- Respond to all groups’ enquiries and work with groups, meetings and events team to drive business conversion.
- Maximize group room revenue and maintain accurate room blocks including group attrition.
- Maintain accurate and timely update of groups to support forecast accuracy.
- Ensure all inquiries are responded to in a prompt and professional manner and updated in Delphi fdc system.
- Update all business leads including lost business with reasons.
- Maintain accurate and updated database of contacts, group and meeting enquiries.
- Prepare group proposals (without meetings and catering requirements), engage in negotiations and confirmation of business through contracting.
- Follow through from negotiation to actualisation and final bill settlement for groups.
- Engage proactively with group organisers during group stay dates and gather feedback during and post group check out.
- Comply to brand standards including Hilton EventReady with CleanStay and maintain quality assurance with support for internal audits and handling mystery shopping calls.
- Prepare and lead discussions in Pre Conference Meeting and Group Resume to all internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of groups.
- Contribute and participate in hotel organised sales activities and any other Hilton organised sales initiatives.
- Participate in SCOUT, referral business leads program in Hilton Worldwide.
- Establish good working relationships with internal stakeholders and external guests including event contractors and suppliers.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets as an individual and contribute to team’s revenue targets.
- Support enrolment and revenue contribution from Hilton Honors.
- Comply to hotel’s credit policy and ensure full settlement of payments within agreed timeline as contracted.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
