We are looking for experienced marine engineer professionals for our esteemed global shipping clients to join their organisation as Technical Superintendent. The ideal candidates would have sailed up to 2ndEngineer on dual-fuel or gas engines vessels and has strong desire to learn and adapt to the challenges of a shore-based position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to manage and ensure the safe, efficient and environment conscious operation of the vessels assigned.
- Oversee the technical performance and maintenance of assigned vessels, ensuring they operate at optimal efficiency.
- Coordinate and monitor vessel maintenance, dry docking, and repairs. Liaise with shipyards, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare and manage budgets for vessel maintenance, ensuring all activities are conducted within financial guidelines.
- Ensure vessel/s comply with all relevant rules & regulations as well as flag state, port state and the industry's special requirements and regulations, and render support to ships as appropriate.
- Work closely with ship crews, providing technical guidance and support. Maintain a strong line of communication between onshore management and sea personnel.
- Respond to vessel technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
Qualifications
- 2nd Engineer or Chief Engineer experience on dual-fuel or gas engine vessels.
- Good knowledge of marine engineering systems, dual-fuel engines, and gas-handling operations.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues under pressure.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations, industry standards, and classification society rules.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, both at sea and onshore.
