As a Network Engineer, you will provide Level 1.5 centralize technical support (Network, Cyber and Server) for all NCS clients.
What will you do?
- Participate in maintenance standby duty to cover 24x7 support on rotational basis as pre-assigned by the team lead
- Ensure SLA Level is achieved every single fault case.
- Ensure escalation is carried out when a fault call is beyond the knowledge of L1.
- Attend to daily call assignment when not in standby during office hours.
- Perform weekend or after office hours duty though not on standby if required.
- Attend to preventive maintenance not limited to hardware inventory.
- Follow up case from opening till closure.
- Update incident tickets properly and promptly.
- Get certifications required to support key customers.
- New assignment by Ops manager or TSM when needed.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
- Preferably 2 or more years of IT working experience
- Basic Cisco and Alcatel switches/routers/wireless knowledge
- Basic network troubleshooting skills on layer 2 and layer 3
- Basic Network Security Knowledge
- Basic Server Administration Knowledge
- Certification in CCNA or any other network certifications will be value-add
- Possess initiative and disposition with a strong commitment and orientation towards results and high-quality standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think out of the box
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
