Job Description
Main Responsibilities
–Report to the Operations Manager
– Check the schedule on a regular basis for arrival times and changes in them
– Gather and transport all supplies needed for the set up of a function including but not limited, silver, china, linen, skirts, glassware, condiments etc.
– Set up buffet tables according to One Paradise and function requirements with a creative flair.
– Properly set all tables, side stations and the back of the house areas for functions according to service standards
– Report any incident to immediate superior and followed up with the events report
– Assist in the placement of any food items in a function room for a display or a buffet and the ability to serve from buffet line
– Serve, prepare the proper mise-en-place for any function
– Serve all food and beverage function according to the standards set forth by One Paradise
– Attentive to the needs of all the guests in the function room providing them with dependable, punctual and enthusiastic service
– Ensure all tables and the function room is clean and neat prior to leaving for the shift
– Ensure all food and beverage items to return the kitchen or to the Supervisor of the Function
– Ensure all condiments including salt, pepper, sugar, flowers, skirts, and candelabra go back to store
– Service all functions including plated, buffet, silver- served or VIP meals, coffee breaks, benefits, theme parties, weddings, receptions, outside catering etc.
– Respond properly in any emergency or safety situation.
– Adhere to company’s standard operating procedures
– Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
– Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language.
– Minimum of 1 year experience in banquet service
– Pleasant personality and jovial
– Possess a good sense of responsibility and commitment
– Physically fit not afraid to work overtime
