Job Description
- Scheduling employees’ shifts and ensuring that they are covered during holidays or other times when they are not able to work
- Monitoring employee performance, providing coaching as needed, and terminating poor performers
- Training new employees on company policies, procedures, and work ethics
- Maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations and addressing hazards
- Ensuring that new products are stocked on shelves and displays are updated regularly
- Working with the accounting department to ensure that sales goals are met
- Overseeing the efficient running of the store by monitoring employee performance, resolving employee issues, and scheduling staff rotations
- Managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Handling customer complaints and resolving issues quickly to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty
Skill Requirements:
- Proven supervisory experience in a retail setting
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- 3+ years experience in retail management
