Job Description:
- Ensure the timely and accurate listing of new products, as well as the on-going refinements and updates to listing descriptions, images and pricing. This workstream shall span across the company’s various e-commerce platforms including the company’s own website (Shopify), and other 3rd party platforms (Shopee, Lazada, Amazon and TikTok Shop).
- Collaborate with the various departments and teams in the company to create and implement brand-consistent and appealing online promotional materials for e-commerce platforms, e.g. banners, photo collages, infographics and short-form videos.
- Maintain a strategic overview of key operational policies imposed by the 3rd party e-commerce platforms and ensure that these are carefully reviewed and integrated into the company’s existing SOPs and workflow. These pertain to key operational aspects such as shipping rates/deadlines, returns and refunds, listing violations, order cancellations, and customer service recoveries.
- Coordinate with the Customer Service team to ensure that customer service interventions for the platforms, e.g. redeliveries of missing items, collecting back defective orders from customers, are constantly reviewed against the platforms’ policies and protocols.
- Maintain a strategic overview of the various campaigns and promotional mechanics available on 3rd party e-commerce platforms, and to develop and execute impactful campaigns and promotions that will yield long-term improvements for our e-commerce platforms.
- Work effectively with the assigned account managers from 3rd party e-commerce platforms to increase sales through the monthly campaign cycles, and also to ensure the company’s long-term interests and strategic considerations are safeguarded.
- Develop and review SOPs and workflows for the company’s operations and selling activities on the 3rd-party e-commerce platforms.
- Contribute (as the domain expert on e-commerce) to the company’s continuous improvements efforts to streamline costs and optimize results for our e-commerce operations.
- Ensure (as part of the operations team’s daily priorities) that time-sensitive procurement activities, e.g. sending of daily orders to the Company’s pool of Suppliers, are completed before the daily cut-off timings to ensure that deliveries and/or pick-ups from Suppliers are able to meet the Company’s service commitments.
Required Attitudes, Skills and Experience
- Proficient in Shopify and search engine optimization (SEO)
- Proficient in graphic design and video editing tools (e.g. Photoshop/Illustrator, Canva, Capcut)
- Proficient in common productivity apps and software, e.g. Microsoft or Google Office
- At least 3 years of experience in managing e-commerce operations on 3rd-party platforms (e.g. Shopee and Lazada)
- Adaptable to fast-changing operating environments and contexts
- Highly-dependable, focused & motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Attentive to details, with a proven ability to interpret data and trends and to apply them to sound decision-making.
- Prior experience in pet food or pet supplies industries (big advantage)
Due to the operational nature of the job scope, this position is not a remote-working / tele-commuting position.
