Resident Technical Officer (Architectural)

Responsibilities

  • On-site Supervision of the following areas: Architectural;
  • Review and check all the drawings, specifications, and to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans/drawings;
  • Highlight discrepancies, feedback site progress, safety and non-conformances to Consultants / Employer;
  • Assist the Resident Engineer in carrying out supervision works on site and also assist in supervising & co-ordination with other consultants’ site staff;
  • Carry out administrative works and other duties as required by QP / Consultant / Employer;
  • Quality control of all civil, structural and architectural works such as inspecting materials and workmanship and performing tests to check the quality of materials;
  • Assist in the review of contractor's method statements and working procedures and ensure that contractor proceeds in accordance to approved method statement;
  • Keep, maintain and submit daily site record on progress of works, instructions given to Contractors, materials delivered to site, daily activities and weather conditions at site, number and visitors at site and any other significant information;
  • Attend site/coordination meetings as directed;
  • Prepare defects snagging list, monitor the progress of rectification works and ensure all the defects are satisfactorily rectified;
  • To ensure all the contractor’s works are in statutory compliance; *Provide full-time supervision of structural works in large building works



Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of site experience in the supervision of various types of developments;
  • Must be accredited with the IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC);
  • Prior experience in precast construction and architectural finishes;
  • Able to work overtime when required by schedule.
