Ensure Client Solutions Group (CSG) financial performance is achieved through the management of marketing mix (4Ps) across the channel to ensure optimal sell-through, inventory profile, and run rate financial performance for responsible routes to market (RTM) and geographies.
The commercial merchandizing charter is the execution and adjustment of the business unit (BU) plan in Quarter through the 4Ps (Product, Pricing, Promotion, Place) and delivering the assortment plans to our partners and customers that enable optimal sell in and sell through across responsible RTM focus on run rate sales to achieve financial targets. Using market and competitive data to decide on assortment for their market and drive promotional and messaging activity – both planned and ad-hoc as needed to achieve in-quarter performance.
The role will partner closely with demand planning, marketing, and sales, merchandizing supports the overall motion in ensuring sufficient inventory to meet the plan, and sales motion to achieve sales plan, leveraging guidance from product and pricing to deploy targeted promotional activities to achieve the planned outcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support the merchandising vision and strategy, product roadmap and launches in support of goals and objectives
- Partner with pricing to manage competitive price-book, including discount price promotions plans by assortment to achieve financial performance in Quarter, inventory in profile, resolve slow / aging / excess inventory, and support transition motion.
- Ensure merchandising readiness with focus on product assortment, standard price list (SPL), price promotional execution and ability to communicate and promote across channels.
- Uses customer & market research, customer and user feedback, customer usage/segmentation and competitive analysis to inform assortment decisions and enhancements
- Applies a thoughtful combination of marketing levers (price, positioning, and promotion) to drive, sell-in and ensure sell-through, enabling smooth inventory transitions and migrating excess supply
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Experience in sales and/or marketing programs preferred.
- Advanced ability to influence others to achieve results
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to turn data into insights that lead to improved business performance
- Product knowledge on Dell and competitor/ similar industries preferred.
Desirable Requirements
- Marketing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or other related degrees
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with aptitude to grasp new programs quickly
