Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan, direct and coordinate project activities including understanding clients’ requirements, technical specifications, installation procedures, manpower requirements and allocate available resources for each project.
  • Conduct weekly in-house meetings with production teams and site meetings with customers and consultants regarding project work-in-progress (including site measurements and reconcile against production drawing).
  • Conduct necessary meeting with Sales team whenever a new project is handover to understand the full scope of work.
  • Conduct Bi-weekly PMO and Sales meeting for reporting Project progress.
  • Manage the existing in-house fabrication cum welding team to perform and deliver all projects on time (hoist and crane structure, crane girder, site erection on runway, welding of crane rails and crane girders plus any other structural worksite installation).
  • Monitor progress of work and write project reports in English.
  • Ensure workplace and site safety, including proper documentations of Risk Assessment, Methods of Statement, Lifting Plans etc.
  • Arrangement with supplier for logistics support, NDT (Non Destructive Test) supplier, POT (Pull Out Test) , MOM Authorised Examiner,etc.
  • Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of lifting equipment at various stages of project.
  • Monitor person-in-charge to ensure good quality control on welding and fabrication based on standard codes of practice, as-built drawings accuracy, adherence to ISO standards and processes.
  • Manage cost and control of project budget i.e. material, machinery and equipment usage, as well as manpower.
  • Provide weekly and monthly progress reports and communicate the information to HQ on time and effectively.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a ITE/Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Candidate with safety certifications preferred (Eg: WSH Level B, Work-At-Height course, Lifting Supervisor Safety course)
  • Able to understand and write Risk Assessment, Methods of Statement, Lifting Plan and other safety document.
  • At least 2-3 years of working experience in project handling is required for this position
  • Must possess a class 3 driving license
