Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize forecast and inventory planning meetings, aging inventory meeting with Sales Department to review sales forecasts, inventory coverage and status of aging inventory in our system
- Negotiate with suppliers of existing products, new RFQ to acquire items that meet our delivery requirements
- Able to negotiate with new and existing vendors to ensure supply of material in most cost-efficient manner within agreed price target and budget.
- Prepare purchase orders to both local and overseas suppliers.
- Track and monitor deliveries/shipments of opens order from suppliers; Follow-up continuously with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
- Work with Quality Engineer and perform quality analysis and control on delivered products.
- Create & monitor detailed reports on inventory levels of items.
- Work with the finance team to process supplier invoices for payment
- Work with the operations/logistics team to ensure incoming orders are processed into SAP system and stored in our warehouse in a timely manner.
- Handle cargo claims/discrepancies
- Conduct periodic review of existing vendors, provide, negotiate, and execute recommendations to ensure vendor performance on pricing, quality and delivery.
- Driving cost reduction project with monthly report and action items
Qualifications:
- Minimum diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2-3 of year experience in the purchase, demand and planning
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and experience in SAP MM system is requiredKnowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing, operations, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain issues
- Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics
- Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory
- Good team player, good interpersonal skill
