The Facility Technician will support the daily operations of our premises & facilities. This role involves assisting with maintenance, safety procedures, administrative tasks, and ensuring the cleanliness of the building to ensure the smooth functioning of the facility.
Job Descriptions:
- Maintain and repair various systems within the facility, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, to ensure they are operational.
- Conduct regular maintenance of building structures and exterior property.
- Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and enhancements, ensuring that all work is completed to high standards.
- Carry out routine safety checks and inspections to comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement preventive maintenance to minimize equipment failures and extend facility life.
- Assist in maintaining emergency response plans and conducting safety drills.
- Keep all maintenance and facility areas orderly and clean, managing essential supplies and equipment for daily operations.
- Document all maintenance work and repairs accurately and keep inventory of facility supplies and materials updated.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Nitec in Facilities Management or equivalent
- Certified in Fire & Safety, HVAC, or electrical systems are a plus.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of facility operations, maintenance procedures, and cleaning standards.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards in the manufacturing sector.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership and able to work as a team player and independently, pro-active and results oriented.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken
This position involves hands-on maintenance of machinery and equipment within the facility and may require heavy lifting of equipment.
