Do you relish the idea of managing critical mission facilities/building? This role requires someone who can efficiently and effectively oversee our delivery of operational and engineering services for the data centres and key building services in our prime commercial asset.
With such a lot at stake, you must have the ability to carry out and follow through on procedures that are vital in critical environments and general building services engineering (e.g., critical equipment maintenance and upkeep). When you do site reviews, you’ll keep a lookout for opportunities to develop, innovate, and share within the engineering teams programmes that not only reduce costs, but also increase productivity. Spotting developments in international best practices and figuring out how to apply them locally is a constant, yet rewarding, challenge. This role also puts you in a unique position to promote our sustainability service strategies for achieving measurable improvements in energy use.
Bridging gaps in processes and controls
As a Subject Matter Expert, you’ll contribute to the optimisation of processes, tools and documentation. At the front of your mind at all times is completion and compliance of the critical environment management (CEM) audit process. Keeping planned preventive maintenance programmes and service contracts in place and the work practices of contractors in check are also your mandate.
‘Safety first’ is your strapline and you’ll do this by maintaining safety procedures, including crisis management or business continuity and emergency procedures at all times. Getting our site teams and vendors on board our risk management and mitigation initiatives will also fall on your shoulders.
All eyes on the plan
You’ll ensure that all risk mitigation plans are in place. Do such plans comply with our clients’ designated procedures and policies? Are all engineering reports in order? You constantly need to monitor and evaluate all critical environment equipment across the building to make sure everything is running smoothly as possible. Tracking review reports and involving in asset lifecycle planning should also keep you busy, as doing so is instrumental in implementing improvement plans and projects across the building.

Subject Matter Expert
You should have over 5 years of experience working in mission-critical facilities and data centre environment managing the maintenance. Having a Data Centre Foundation Certificate (DCFC) or equivalent to oversee the Data Centre facility maintenance. You will be the Point of Contact (POC) for all servicing, incident and follow-up, and to assist with all client requests pertaining to the Data Centre. Quarterly meetings (or such frequency as determined by the client) with client data centre management shall also be arranged to report and review the quality of the Data Centre and building facility management works.
