Our Client is a leading leading stable firm.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field from a reputable institution
- At least 2 years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture and services, including virtual machines, storage solutions, and networking
- Strong grasp of networking concepts and security best practices
- Proficient in using DevOps tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Jenkins
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
- Experienced in administering both Windows and Linux servers
- Adept in managing ServiceNow CMDB
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Capable of effective teamwork and collaboration with colleagues across various levels
- Relevant certifications like AWS Certified Solution Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly valued
**Resident Engineer Responsibilities**
- Be willing to learn and work beyond regular office hours as needed
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure to support business applications
- Monitor and enhance cloud resources to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency
- Develop and adhere to cloud solutions following industry standards
- Identify, analyze, and rectify security vulnerabilities and deployment issues related to cloud resources
- Ensure cloud environments comply with security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and regulatory requirements
- Implement security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and identity management solutions to safeguard cloud resources
- Oversee cloud management events, offer first-line support, and coordinate the resolution of issues as necessary
- Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security concerns
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups, to ensure system integrity and reliability
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
- Manage and optimize cloud usage to control costs effectively
- Analyze spending patterns and recommend cost-saving strategies, such as rightsizing resources or leveraging reserved instances
- Collaborate with developers to ensure cloud infrastructure supports application development and deployment
- Document cloud architecture, procedures, and configurations for future reference and compliance
- Provide regular updates on cloud performance, usage, and cost metrics to stakeholders
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, services, and processes to improve cloud infrastructure and operations
