Job Summary:-
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, interviewing, and assessing Indian dance artists by coordinating with agents in India. The manager will oversee the entire process of artist recruitment, training, and costume procurement while promoting the dance lounge to Indian customers. This role will be key in scaling the business, expanding the artist roster, and enhancing the overall experience for the lounge’s patrons.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Artist Recruitment & Assessment
- Identify potential Indian dance artists by liaising with agents and agencies in India.
- Conduct interviews and assessments to select suitable artists for the lounge.
- Develop relationships with dance schools and institutes in India to source top talent.
2. Artist Training Coordination
- Arrange for selected artists to receive appropriate training from dance schools in India.
- Ensure training aligns with the lounge's performance standards and artistic direction.
3. Costume Procurement & Management
- Oversee the procurement of dance costumes and accessories for artists.
- Collaborate with designers or suppliers to source high-quality and authentic Indian dance costumes.
- Ensure timely delivery of costumes to maintain smooth production schedules.
4. Promotion & Business Development
- Strategically promote the dance lounge to Indian customers and the broader Indian community.
- Develop partnerships with Indian businesses, event organizers, and influencers to increase visibility and attract customers.
- Implement marketing campaigns and events that highlight the unique offerings of the lounge.
5. Operations & Other Business Activities
- Assist in the planning and execution of performances, events, and promotions in the lounge.
- Work with the management team to identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Ensure all operations related to artist onboarding, training, and performance are smooth and efficient.
Requirements/Qualifications:-
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Arts Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, talent management, or event management, preferably in the entertainment or arts sector.
- Strong knowledge of Indian dance forms and the Indian entertainment industry.
- Ability to work closely with agents, artists, and suppliers in India.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to India for artist recruitment and business development activities.
Preferred Skills:-
- Experience in the hospitality or nightlife industry.
- A network of contacts within the Indian dance, music, and entertainment industry.
- Knowledge of costume design or production.
