Details of the Division and Team:
Group Audit (GA) is seeking a Lead Principal Auditor (PA) to join the Investment Bank – Fixed Income and Currencies Audit Team.
The role will include leading complex global and regional audits and finding validations for the Fixed Income and Currencies business and supporting control functions such as Business Finance and overseeing the work of the audit team assigned. As the role will primarily focus on the activities of the Fixed Income and Currencies Business and Business Finance, therefore experience of auditing Investment Bank – Sales and Trading activities (for e.g. Credit Trading, Financing, Foreign Exchange (FX) and Emerging Markets Trading desks) is preferable.
This role will be based in Singapore and will report directly to a Principal Audit Manager (PAM) – IB FIC APAC.

Your key responsibilities:
- Supports the PAM (IB FIC APAC) by undertaking / leading audit assignments, drafts audit issues / reports for review by audit management, facilitates issue tracking and validates closure of findings. Oversees the work of other Auditors ensuring audit work meets GA methodology requirements.
- Executes audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach e.g., documenting Process Flows, identification of key risks, controls, test plans and testing of key controls to assess designed and operational effectiveness and documenting work in accordance with Group Audit (GA) standards. Completes all assigned work in line with agreed budgets, including ad hoc projects and special investigations.
- Partners across other audit teams globally (e.g., Technology, Anti-Financial Crime etc.) to ensure comprehensive audit coverage and an integrated approach to key risk topics. Proactively develops and maintains professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas.
- Communicates openly with GA management and internal stakeholders; keeps them informed of potential issues and escalate problems/delays accordingly.
- Keeps abreast of pertinent industry, regulatory and business developments.

Your skills and experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant Audit experience from the financial services industry with knowledge of working within the operational requirements and the regulatory environment of a Global Bank.
- Proven Experience and knowledge of financial services product particularly Investment Banking – Sales & Trading activities.
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and concepts, including experience in using data analytics to perform audit testing.
- Project management and planning skills, the capacity to respond to and support positive change and continue to develop technical expertise.
- Good written/verbal communication skills, communicating with clarity both orally and in writing in a logical and structured manner.
- Ability to build relationship and having analytical, problem solving, communication, influencing, planning and presentation skills
- Ability to work in virtual, global teams in a matrix organization, transfer knowledge and develop capability of team members.
- Able to work under pressure within tight deadlines, have a proactive approach, solutions and results oriented with good organisational skills.
- The ability to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, personal integrity and ethics.
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
