This role is involved in evaluating and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT systems by performing comprehensive audits and vulnerability assessments. This role is critical to ensuring our systems' compliance with internal and external regulations while safeguarding sensitive data from potential threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct IT Audits: Plan, coordinate, and execute detailed audits of IT systems, networks, and applications to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Perform Vulnerability Assessments:Identify, analyze, and evaluate security vulnerabilities across systems, applications, and networks. Recommend mitigation strategies and monitor remediation efforts.
- Risk Management: Assist in identifying and assessing IT risks related to data security, cybersecurity threats, and system weaknesses. Propose and implement control improvements to mitigate these risks.
- Audit Reporting: Develop and present audit findings, including risk areas, recommendations for improvement, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS).
- Maintain Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Security Testing: Perform penetration tests, review system logs, and oversee security incident responses.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in information security, vulnerability management, and IT audit practices to enhance audit processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT auditing with a focus on vulnerability assessment and security testing.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools(e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS).
- Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CEH, CRISC)
