Job Purpose
- As security trade executions will take place through SMBC Nikko, while custodial services will be offered by SMBC Bank, the end-to-end trade settlements and corporate actions process will require close coordination between 4 teams – the front office (RMs/ARMs), Nikko PW Operations, PWG mid-office & BCAPD
- The selected person will serve as the main coordinating point between SMBC Nikko PW Ops, PWG mid-office and BCAPD to ensure that all settlements and corporate actions are completed without any breaks.
Primary Responsibilities
- The tasks that the person will be focussed on will be operational in nature with settlements, reconciliation and controls related functions
Secondary Responsibilities
- Administrative support and other duties as assigned by Management
- Complete timely all mandatory regulatory and compliance training
- Any other duties assigned by line managers
Job Requirements
- Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in the Banking environment, preferably, Private Banking
- Familiarity with trade settlements, set up of security static, client static, cash and security reconciliations, dealing with globally established sub-custodians (such as Clearstream, UBS, others), understanding of client risk ratings, product risk ratings, mandatory and non-mandatory corp actions, project management/testing others
- Familiarity with core banking systems and post-trade securities booking systems
- Able to perform accurate, precise and timely mannered operations.
- Excellent understanding and knowledge in Banking and Investment products.
- Strong team player with high level of initiative with sustainable and continuous desire and efforts to tackle and break through difficult tasks in order to establish client base.
