Job Description
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of subsea pipeline engineers, ensuring technical competence and continuous professional development.
- Coordinate the workload within the team and assign tasks based on project needs and individual expertise.
- Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
Project Management:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of subsea pipeline projects, from conceptual design to detailed engineering, installation, and pre-commissioning.
- Ensure that all engineering activities are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth project execution.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical leadership in the design, analysis, and installation of subsea pipeline systems, ensuring adherence to relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct or oversee pipeline flow assurance, pipeline mechanical design, material selection, and installation methodology.
- Address technical challenges, propose innovative solutions, and perform risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and specifications for subsea pipelines.
Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure all subsea pipeline designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., API, DNV, ASME), environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of engineering quality through regular reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
- Ensure that all engineering designs and operations comply with quality policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in subsea pipeline engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing subsea pipeline projects in offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, or similar industries.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of subsea pipeline design, installation techniques, and applicable industry codes and standards (e.g., API, DNV-GL, ASME).
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, CAESAR II, OrcaFlex) and pipeline analysis tools.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
