Details of the Division and Team:

TSCO Singapore Branch Operations provides operational support such as trade settlement, confirmation, for Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Fixed Income and OTC Derivatives (Products).

Some of process had been delegated to out of Singapore to our Delivery Hubs, which needs close collaboration between both teams to ensure efficient and timely delivery to our clients.

This is a commodity specialist Ops role, providing Operation expertise to business and clients to support settlement and documentation relating to commodity derivatives, physical and financing of precious metals and base metals and emission trading.

This role requires the ability to liaise and work in partnership with different business desks, infrastructure in India and Manila and with external parties across APAC, which consists of but not limited to:

  • Sales, Trading
  • IB Business Enablement Ops
  • Technology Partners
  • TSCO in Manila and India
  • Warehouse Operators

Your key responsibilities:

  • Working with the Commodity business and IB Business Enablement Ops, on new business initiatives to ensure front to back controls are implemented.
  • Close cooperation and communication with colleagues in other trading hubs, clients, warehouse operators to ensure seamless logistic operations across different locations and across regions.
  • Manage logistic processes, including documentation, customs clearance and warehouse release instructions, invoicing and safe settlement, adhering to internal control procedures, regulations and timely delivery to clients
  • Support settlement and confirmation of Commodity Derivatives, Metal financing and physical, Exchange traded products and non-metal products
  • Coordinate static data setup and cash settlement with TSCO team in DKS and India.
  • Document TSCO Key Operating Procedures
  • Participate in the ongoing development of the processes and procedures with TSCO in Manila and India to standardize process, where possible
  • Participate in system changes and testing's, working in close relationship with TSCO India and London/SG IB Ops
  • Perform front to back reconciliations across cash, position and inventory, identifying discrepancies and escalating according to control protocols.
  • Periodic Inspection of DB holding in Warehouse Vault with business management and compliance, where required.

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in commodities role from a financial institution with working knowledge in Commodities of the base and precious metals markets and practices.
  • Working Knowledge and understanding of commercial deal terms, title transfer documents and Delivery Terms.
  • Proven understanding on risks and controls
  • Proven experience in logistic operations.
  • Working knowledge of Commodity ISDA definitions
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or having other relevant professional qualifications.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin speaking as the role requires liaising and communication with North Asia clients.
  • Working experience in MS Office Package and desktop PC skills with analytical and data management skills.
  • Strong team player with very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
