Assistant Manager, Active Ageing Centre

Leadership & Managerial Role:

  • Assist to provide overall leadership within the Centre including decision making and ensuring discipline to achieve the objectives and meet the service requirements of the Active Ageing Centre model.
  • Assist to plan, assign, direct and supervise the deployment of staff and resources to achieve the objectives and meet the service requirements.
  • Work with the management and staff to ensure that the Centre’s strategies, programmes, processes, and culture are aligned and integrated.
  • Assist in the appraisal, development and deployment of staff.
  • Assist to provide exemplary conduct and professionalism to uphold the reputation and standing of the Centre at all times.

Operational Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration and operations of the Centre.
  • Establish processes and schedule for the efficient operation on a daily basis, including coordination with other functions such as social work, transport, and community outreach including volunteers.
  • Assist in the assessment of client admission, planning the capacity and schedule of the Centre. Manage stakeholders such as clients’ families.
  • Assist to prepare and monitor operational efficiency, continuously improve service quality level, and implement policies to ensure safety of clients.
  • Assist to prepare and compile management reporting and statistics; initiate and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain statistical records and progression plan of participants.
  • Maintain close links with the volunteers, establish and manage the day-to-day operations of the organization’s community outreach efforts.
  • Assist in the implementation of strategic plans and programmes.
  • Report submissions to the Board and relevant Government Authorities.
