Engineer for Supplier Management

  • Able to travel to JB for supplier visit or to our factory, when required


Job Duties:

  • Program CMM and provide training to site engineers and technicians.
  • Oversee the supplier part qualification process (SPQP) to ensure that supplier deliveries meet quality standards and process requirements.
  • Manage complaints, including initial failure analysis, coordination of containment and disposition with suppliers, arranging RTVs, following up on 8D reports, and overseeing repair order delivery.
  • Conduct audits at supplier sites for NPI pilot production process qualification and 8D implementation.
  • Perform first article inspections at supplier sites to verify measurement capabilities and ensure that supplier technicians possess the necessary skills.
  • Develop inspection plans and instructions for incoming inspections.
  • Act as an ISO 8015 expert, providing training to suppliers on common GD&T tools.
  • Manage calibration processes to ensure equipment is calibrated on schedule and plan for measurement equipment needs for NPI parts.
  • Oversee the Material Review Board (MRB).


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications can be a plus.
  • Proficiency in CMM programming and operation, preferably Zeiss CMM
  • Strong understanding of supplier part qualification processes (SPQP) and quality management systems.
  • Experience with complaint management processes, including failure analysis, 8D reports, and repair order management.
  • Knowledge of audit procedures and qualifications for NPI pilot production.
  • Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) management.
  • Plastic injection molding knowledge is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement tools.
  • Experience conducting training and workshops for technical teams and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and coordination with suppliers.
  • Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed.
