Procurement Management:
- Administer purchasing function according to accompany procedure, which may include obtaining quotations and item details for requisition, obtain approval for these requisitions and liaise with central procurement for orders.
- To communicate with supplier on product availability and delivery
- Verifies purchase requisitions and prepare purchase order (PO).
- Receipt of material or accounting for deliveries and stock
- Arrange logistics to incoming deliveries
- Maintaining the purchasing policy and ensuring that all purchases adhere to it.
- Handling Contract Negotiation with Vendors to secure the best terms and prices
- Assess Vendor performance based on quality, cost and reliability.
- Maintaining positive relationships with Vendors.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement and logistics activities to management.
- Analyze market trends and forecasts to anticipate future needs.
Logistics Management:
- Ensure all logistics processes compliance with company policy.
- Coordinate and oversee end-to-end logistic operations, from procurement to final product delivery.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with logistics service providers.
- Monitor and optimize logistics processes to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Support the Project Management Team (PMT) on all logistics issues.
- Liaison with Client’s Logistics department, understand the requirement, to ensure smooth accomplishment of projects.
- Liaison with Vendors on the shipping information and tracking the progress of deliverables.
- To check the submission from the Vendor and get clearance from the Client prior the shipment.
- Obtain more quotations when necessary for major shipment.
- Responsible for the issuance of shipping document (Packing List, Delivery Order, Commercial Invoice, Custom Certificate and Certificate of Origin).
- Arrange the transportation of purchased materials, conduct receiving activities, including storage of goods.
- Matching of Invoices (Forwarders / Courier).
- Manage activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle within stipulated deadlines
Requirement:
- A Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field, with 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and logistics or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the capability to interact effectively across various departments.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
