They are now looking for a Finance Manager to join their growing team.
Job Description
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health of the organization. This position involves managing the company's financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes, as well as analyzing financial data to provide insights that guide business decisions. The Finance Manager will collaborate closely with senior management in local offices in Singapore and regional Headquarters in South Korea, providing them with accurate financial information and advice to support key business initiatives. Additionally, the role will oversee financial compliance, ensure proper internal controls are in place, and manage relationships with external auditors and tax agents.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual business performance reports, including statutory/management reports, sales reports, and financial statements.
- Conduct competitor and industry performance analysis, providing recommendations to stakeholders.
- Lead and/or supervise audits (e.g., outlet cash audits) and recommend best practices and controls to mitigate risk and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage periodic cashflow forecasts.
- Oversee daily financial operations for designated business units.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents on financial matters.
- Supervise and review the preparation of consolidated financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts for internal stakeholders.
- Assess capital gains and losses, including tax liabilities.
- Identify and report both financial and non-financial performance indicators.
- Oversee the preparation of the company's budget.
- Apply marginal and absorption costing concepts to determine cost and profit variances.
- Plan and coordinate the annual financial audit process.
- Lead and manage the finance team, including assessing team performance and efficiency.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- ACCA certification would be highly beneficial.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a finance leadership remit.
- Proven experience in the F&B or Retail industry.
- Strong understanding of financial operations, reporting, audit, and tax compliance.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage schedules effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with Business Central is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Korean is required due to the need to interact with Korean-speaking external stakeholders and regional leaders at the South Korean headquarters.
