RESIDENT TECHNICAL OFFICER (M&E)

Responsibilities:

  • Duration: Estimated 24 months
  • Commencement: Early November 2024
  • To carry out thorough review and verify all project-related drawings (including working drawings, shop drawings, authority submission drawings, and as-built drawings) and specifications for all Works.
  • Promptly identify and address any discrepancies or potential issues before the commencement and throughout the progression of Electrical, Fire Protection System, Plumbing & Sanitary, Sump Pumps, Lightning Protection System Installation and other M&E works on site.
  • To carry out construction supervision of Mechanical & Electrical works as required under the BCA regulations and ensure that the design documentation is safely and accurately implemented on site. Responsible for the co-ordination of work on site and ensure construction safety.
  • Undertake any other duties related to the project assigned.
  • To ensure that all installation methods and material used are in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications.
  • To liaise with the contractors in the coordination of site works and resolving site installation problems.
  • Maintain daily site records and submit weekly progress report with photographs to the Consultants.
  • To proactively highlight issue and any unusual site findings to the Consultant/Project Lead to ensure solutions or directions are given in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent from Singapore Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing.
  • Possess at least 3 years of site supervision experience, preferably in building works.
  • Familiar with local codes and regulations, as well as technical knowledge. •
  • Registered as Resident Technical Officer accredited by IES/ACES.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Project for project update and report
