Purpose of the Job Role
We are inviting a standout professional, a Singapore resident (Singapore citizen/ having permanent Singapore resident status), with relevant experience to lead our Singapore office as Audit Manager.
Together with our professional team, you will be handling audit engagements which may cover varied industries. Our portfolio of clients might be local and foreign companies and would include SMEs, MNCs and subsidiaries of listed companies. Candidates with experience in operational, financial and management review, as well as the ability to provide sound recommendation of management actions based on insightful analysis, will be ideal.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading a cross border team of Assistant Managers/Associates.
- Provide audit services to a portfolio of diversified clients.
- Demonstrate expertise in methodology to perform an assurance engagement in compliance with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA).
- Develop and lead a team of audit professionals.
- Achieve team and individual budgets and business plan/ performance objectives.
- Manage project financials, including budgets, WIP, timely billing and collection and variance recognition.
- Maintain the highest technical and professional standards.
- Carry out practice management activities e.g. resourcing, scheduling, client billing etc.
- Undertake wider office activities, as required.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification
- Member of professional accounting bodies such as ISCA or Australian CPA or ACCA
- Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience with large/mid-tier international accounting firms; candidates from the assurance sector with relevant experience are also welcome.
- Strong technical (accounting/auditing standards) & interpersonal skills.
- Possess initiative and an analytical mind.
- Ability to lead a team of like-minded professionals.
