- Interprets and works from prints, blueprints, charts, tables, work orders, verbal instructions and established practices to organize and complete assigned repair jobs
- Supervises the activities of Electricians, Electrical Apprentices, and Electrician Helpers
- Accomplishes hands-on electrical tasks on maintenance and construction projects
- Organizes work orders, evaluates supply needs for tasking and assigns duties as appropriate to subordinate staff
- Advises the Construction Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor or PM Supervisor of job progress, material requirements and personnel matters
- Routinely inspects worksites and evaluates staff tasking
- Ensures staff attends required trainings and maintains records of departmental trainings
- Evaluates job hazards and communicates information to staff verbally and in writing through various venues, including weekly and/or daily crew meetings
- Interprets project tasking utilizing design drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams
- Assists with the ordering of resupply parts for the electrical department to maintain adequate inventory of needed parts
