Job Summary
The Higher Executive – Procurement supports the development of procurement strategies by monitoring inventory movement and reconciling supplies with established procedures. He/She performs forecasting, material planning and procurement functions in line with regulatory requirements, and supports vendor management based on established supplier selection processes and criteria. With a clear understanding of customers’ needs and expectations, the Higher Executive – Procurement enhances service quality by identifying and recommending innovations to improve work processes and systems.
He should possess strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver work outcomes. He is also expected to engage in trainings and performance improvement opportunities to meet individual and business key performance indicators.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
- Implement green procurement plan
- Deploy organisation's procurement activities based on established product specifications and customer needs in accordance to company’s ESG guidelines and policies.
- Leverage data analytics and software integration to complete routine and transactional procurement tasks with limited human intervention, strengthen supply chain resilience and prevent cybersecurity breaches.
- Gather data on potential suppliers on digital dashboards to analyse suppliers’ behaviours and capabilities that fulfil procurement requirements.
- Manage suppliers selection process
- Continuous review and leverage on the e-procurement systems to streamline the suppliers. selection process, improve compliance and strengthen risk management in accordance with company’s ESG guidelines and policies.
- Adopt selection processes and evaluation criteria with suppliers to ensure fair competition as part of company’s ESG guidelines and policies.
- Support negotiation efforts with information on agreed contract terms and conditions with selected suppliers based on company’s ESG guidelines and policies.
- Manage green procurement activities
- Use automated inventory control systems to analyse inventory levels in real-time and predict customers’ demand and spending patterns based on future business requirements.
- Perform inventory planning, tracking and scheduling of stock movements and replenishment of inventory levels to ensure optimal inventory holdings.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance departments to facilitate payment and collection processes.
- Support emergency procurement to meet urgent requirements such as Haze, Pandemic, HASR etc.
- Manage customer relationships
- Address customer dissatisfaction of products, service standards while working with relevant parties to resolve issues.
- Communicate with customers on organisation’s sustainable procurement policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and technology advancement
- Facilitate the adoption of technologies, electronic tools and system upgrades to support productivity and innovation.
- Assist in the review of work processes and procedures using data analytics to provide data-driven insights for the planning of continuous work improvement activities.
Job Requirements
Proficient in use of MS Office Applications / Microsoft Power Platform Applications
Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience
Degree / Diploma in Procurement / Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent certifications
1-3 years of relevant working experience in procurement or purchasing.
