Introduction
This is a strategic procurement role that is critical to ensure competitive supply of high-quality materials and services to the GlobalFoundries Singapore operations. The role is global in nature, with a large pool of stakeholders and leadership team in Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, and the US
Essential Responsibilities:
- Define sourcing strategy(s) for assigned commodity(ies) in alignment with the objectives of the Global Supply Management organization and the respective Global Commodity Head
- Plan and conduct commercial negotiations and support global negotiations as required
- Actively utilize strategic tools, processes & systems to perform sourcing and analytical/reporting tasks (Jaggaer, Spend Analytics, Power BI, Clean sheeting, Negotiation Planners, SAP Ariba, SAP iCertis, etc).
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities, alternative sourcing strategies, global price trends, and communicate progress / achievements to realize maximum value and organizational objectives
- Monitor the local and global market to identify potential new suppliers, product derivatives, and product innovations
- Analyze, manage, and control contractual agreements and prepare renegotiations to achieve commercial and technical objectives
- Establish a robust business continuity sourcing plan for assigned commodity(s) via mapping supply base and geographic risks with corresponding mitigation plans
- Support escalations from Regional Strategists by engaging suppliers for prompt resolutions

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Business Administration and/or relevant field of study
- 2-4 years relevant work experience in an industrial environment
- Proficiency in sourcing related skills including sourcing strategy development and execution, contract management and supplier performance management
- Ability to lead projects and cross-functional teams
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and influence stakeholders and team members
- Good problem-solving skills, in analytics
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally including China, Malaysia, Japan, USA, and Germany from time to time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of process materials used in electronics manufacturing, quality requirements and related supply base
- Experience in a semi-conductor environment or related industry
