Summary:
The Corporate Communications Assistant Manager will be responsible for internal and external communications and stakeholder engagement. Internal communications will include but not limited to employee engagement, investor relations, and brand identity and marketing strategies. External communications will include but not limited to public relations, media engagement, events, and brand positioning.
The Assistant Manager work closely with the Head of Department to develop long term strategies to enhance the Group’s brand positioning and reputation as a market leader, and manage the Group’s social media and online presence. The Manager will also be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external events such as townhalls, industry events, speaking opportunities, and CSR activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop long-term strategies for staff, media, and public engagements, with the focus on building SMG’s brand awareness and reputation, and optimizing the Group’s internal communications flow.
- Develop and implement policies and process flow to optimize the Group’s internal communication channels and enhance employee engagement.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and public events. Events include but not limited to industry and trade events, thought leadership and speaking events, leadership summits, and CSR events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Singapore and overseas employees, investors, media and journalists, and managing vendors.
- Manage SMG’s social media and online presence, overseeing content creation work flow, assisting in design related matters, and monitoring traffic and engagement across platforms
- Assist with SEO, SEM, and advertising campaigns
- Manage SMG’s brand identity and collaterals, including logo design, corporate deck and corporate merchandise, ensuring implementation and consistency across the Group’s overseas entities
- Prepare and manage department’s yearly budget
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in event management and vendor management.
- Bilingual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop long-terms views through strategic thinking.
- Passionate to engage employees and enhance inter-company engagement.
- Strong relationship-building skills with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Good project management skills and able to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proofreading and writing skills.
- Well versed in social media trends.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
