Role
- This position is responsible for timely and accurate monthly accounting reporting under US GAAP for various subsidiary companies’ financial books in APAC region, as well as provide various reports for business review and forecast purposes.
- This incumbent is also to ensure local GAAP statutory reporting dateline is met against all odds. With the growth mindset, this position will be a key player in implementing improvements to enhance our process and ensure compliance around recording transactions while focusing on a Global standard and other special projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries and provide functional support on month end close activities under US GAAP.
- Review and analyzes variances reporting on network expenses (netex) for Flash reporting.
- Prepare and review balance sheet accounts for reconciliation purposes following the corporate’s guidelines and timetable.
- Provide timely and accurate accounting record, as well as assist in preparation of financial statements for local GAAP reporting for APAC countries with the ability to comfortably deal with complex accounting issues.
- Managing the local audits and annual tax computations, VAT Returns, ad-hoc Tax issues/requests to meet deadlines by collaborating closely with our auditors and tax agents.
- Maintain compliance with the company’s existing SOX and internal control processes.
- Building strong relationships with various departments - Treasury, Tax, Procurement, Logistics, Real Estate and Financial Planning and Analysis team to ensure that all charges to the business is accurately recorded in the financial statements.
- Supporting the local business operation in APAC region with all finance related issues, statistical filings, and other local requirements.
- Contribute and collaborate as an active member of a team in achieving common goals, solving problems, developing “win-win” solutions, and assuming joint accountability for results/outcomes.
- Assist in other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Professional Accounting Qualification e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent
- Eight or more year’s full set accounting/financial reporting experience/shared-function experience
- Professional attitude and appearance in all dealings
- Knowledge of financial reporting requirements

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

- Ability to obtain information from various departments within Lumen to accurately reconcile key corporate accounts.

Preferred Requirements:
- US GAAP reporting experience
- APAC countries GAAP reporting experience
- Experience of SAP or other large ERP systems such as Oracle.
- Blacklines reconciliation system
- Costar lease system
