JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Event Sales & Services, the Event Services Manager is responsible for providing a seamless and delightful experience for events and group accommodation management, ensuring a smooth transition from Pre-Sales to Post Event.
What you will be DOING:
· Work closely with the organisers on their event programs and requirements and provide professional advice to facilitate their planning.
· Conduct site inspections with the organisers or external vendors for the contractors for the event setup.
· Establish close rapport with organisers to strengthen guest loyalty for repeat business in future.
· Coordinate any pre-event arrangements with the organisers e.g. conduct site inspections for event set-up, decorations, food tasting, etc.
· Work with external vendors to coordinate on any special event arrangement.
· Prepare Group Resumes, Banquet Event Orders, Internal Reports and Billing accurately and timely,
· Follow up on room attrition and timeline for rooming lists closely.
· Conduct pre-event meetings and communicate closely and effectively with all related operations teams to ensure the events are well executed in a seamless manner.
· Work closely with the operations team to ensure the event is well executed on day.
· Conduct post event communication with organisers to seek feedback and ensure satisfaction.
· Follow all workplace safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries and incidents to reporting manager immediately.
· Participate & contribute actively in all Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives organised by the Hotel.
· Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
Your experience and skills include:
· Degree/Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism or equivalent
· Minimum 3 years of reservations experience in a managerial appointment
· Good business acumen, critical thinking and strategic decision-making skills
· Strong human relations and influencing skills
· Strong communications (verbal and written), planning and coordination skills
· Ability to work independently and take initiative
· Strong time management skills
