Duties and Responsibilities

Management

  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain warehouse teams by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees as required.
  • Enforce all company rules and regulations.
  • Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job.
  • Evaluate and develop clear reporting metrics to identify and address any deficiencies / bottlenecks quickly to ensure seamless delivery service to customers.
  • Analyse trends to deliver efficiencies throughout the pick/pack/delivery process.
  • Direct traffic and prioritize activities in coordination with all relevant departments.
  • Preparing budgets and scheduling expenditures in coordination with finance department.
  • Inspect condition of tools and equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Warehouse Activity

  • Control and manage inventory.
  • Oversee and ensure orders are picked accurately and delivered on time.
  • Monitor warehouse stock-levels and product dating; coordinate with Sales Team to facilitate promotional activations to move short dated stock as necessary.
  • Contribute towards accuracy of order fulfilment through continued review of processes and team performance.
  • Plan and coordinate stock arrivals with warehouse team to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Communicate and coordinate with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of products.
  • Monitor team member performance and well-being.
  • Schedule work effectively, in line with the skill sets and availability of employees.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as required.
  • Review and rate supplier performance and contract execution.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 years proven experience in a Warehouse Management role.
  • Demonstrated ability in staff management, including scheduling and coordination with outside contractors.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise assignments, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
