Senior Business Development Officer, ARTC

Responsibilities

As a Business Development Officer, reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role responsible for members? success through the management of program deliveries and strong customer relationships. You will have the opportunity to implement the FMCG & e-Commerce business strategy, driving collaborations between industry partners and ARTC, securing projects and building a collaborative ecosystem.

This role focuses on managing and growing ARTC"s FMCG & e-Commerce Pillar members with professionalism and for impactful collaboration outcome.

Our prevailing business priority is the members? successful adoption and productive use of our technologies and solutions. You are front and centre with our members supporting their manufacturing transformation journey.

Key Accountabilities include

  • Drive value-based engagements with key members and external stakeholders.
  • Build a robust and sustainable FMCG & e-Commerce ecosystem comprised of product owners, solution & technology providers, manufacturers, system integrators, institute of higher learning, research institutes, and public agencies.
  • Strategize, develop, and execute business plans for multistakeholders and senior executives? engagements with key members.
  • Develop deep relationships with key members, identify business opportunities for growth, negotiate and close business deals.
  • Lead conversations with members to capture business and technical requirements, identify problem statements to scope work package proposals for collaboration.
  • Work closely with our technical divisions and project management office to enable the translation of research outcomes to business viable products and or solutions.
  • Coordinate with other A*STAR Research Institutes and public agencies to deliver business viable solutions.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor in any business/engineering-related discipline.
  • Preferably candidate with at least 3 years of working experience in business-related functions, technology, enterprise sales/account management and marketing.
  • Proven track record in sales and sales achievement, with experience in value-based selling, selling as a team, and selling services is advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen, and is self-driven to deliver members? requirements and project deadlines.
  • Professional presentation and communication skills for management-level audience, both written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude, resilient, agile, attention to detail and able to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
