Translational Biophotonics Laboratory (TBL) has an opening for a Senior Research Officer / Research Officer (Lab Manager) with the proposed scope below. You may also refer to the attached document for more information.
Proposed Job Scope:
- General laboratory management and operations
- Ensure clinical studies comply with HBRA and safety policies including liaising with IRB & regulatory body and address ethical concerns, if any
- Maintain, file and approve clinical study documents including but not limited to audit documents, submitting IRB applications
- Represent the laboratory for facility needs-ensure lab’s compliance to institute’s health and safety policies and IT security policies
- Manage the periodic maintenance of lab equipment
- Ensure good documentation and business continuity where necessary
- Interface and connect with other laboratories within the institute or externally
- Manage general grant portfolios
- Support the head of the lab with administrative work, lab visits and procurement
- Monitor software security compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in life sciences, engineering, or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience is required
- Clinical research experience is advantageous
- Dynamic, strong interpersonal personality with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Project management experience is an advantage
- Excellent organizational skills and record-keeping
- Able to write up a study protocol and present it to clinical team/collaborators
- Able to work in a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate initiative and work independently with strong interpersonal skills
- Must be hands-on where needed
- Experience in handling finance matters is advantageous
