Major Job Responsibilities
- Liaise with hirers and work with Venue Sales, Technical and Front-of-House teams to deliver all aspects of production needs
- Support the Venue Sales Team in ensuring hirers' needs are met
- Attend site meetings with Venue Sales personnel, generate production cost estimates for hirers and meeting notes for OVM team
- Act as liaison between hirer’s production team and OVM in-house technicians
- Manage all production needs for performances/ events assigned
- Ensure event-specific technical rider is generated for every event following discussions with the relevant production staff; provide cost estimates to hirers after production meetings
- Ensure hirers and technicians comply with standard operating procedures and the working environment is safe at all times
- Work closely with technical team during production, ensure technicians conduct pre-show checks before each performance and venue is safe and ready for public admittance before handing over to FOH for house opening
- Liaise with FOH during performance/ events
- Understand emergency plan and safety and security procedures of building to facilitate effective evacuation when required
- Close timesheets for technicians and production services account after event; submit incident reports as required
- Document and archive all relevant information, correspondence and processes for each production completed
- Engage in cross-training and functions in venue and production operations and project management
- Support school-wide events and key activities
- Adhere to SOTA’s prevailing policies and procedures
- Any ad-hoc duties as required by Reporting Officer, Management or the Organisation
Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Knowledge/Skills)
- Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience in live performance management (preferably in arts and entertainment industry)
- Possess good working knowledge of production disciplines and technical aspects of theatres and exhibition/ event spaces
- Familiar with policies and procedures in performing arts venues will be an added advantage
- Possess good working knowledge and operational skill in managing the Event Business Management System (EBMS) will be an added advantage
- Excellent customer relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills, including strong organisational and report writing skills
- Possess positive and motivated personality with good initiative, and pro-active with a high level of commitment to meet deadlines
- Strong team player, meticulous, analytical, and resourceful with the ability to work independently
- Able to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment and handle complex situations calmly and professionally
- Plenty of initiative and enthusiasm and strong passion for the arts and the nurturing of youth within the arts education industry
- May be required to work at height, operate/ lift heavy equipment
- Long working hours, with frequent requirement to work on weekends and/or Public Holidays
