Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Project Manager to support our infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will assist in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met while adhering to standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and managing infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, IT) to ensure the alignment of project objectives.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure deliverables are on track.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and risks, and update project documentation regularly.
- Facilitate communication between project team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
- Assist in managing and mitigating project risks, developing contingency plans where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and infrastructure standards.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings, including status updates, issue resolution, and decision-making sessions.
- Support procurement activities, including managing vendor relationships, obtaining quotations, and tracking equipment deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in project management, with a focus on infrastructure or IT-related projects.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, data centers, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or any relevant project management certification is a plus.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of infrastructure standards and compliance regulations is a plus.
