Job Description:
This is a new Credit Risk Analyst opening is with a high performing Securities broker with a global presence and a strong footprint in Singapore. Working closely with Credit Risk Manager and under, the Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for analysing credit data, monitoring credit exposures, and assisting in the development of risk management strategies. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience in the dynamic world of securities brokerage and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of counterparty creditworthiness by reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information. Assess the risk associated with extending credit to counterparties and enforce margin call policy.
- Exposure Monitoring: Monitor and report on credit exposures across various trading activities, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other financial instruments. Carry out periodic review of counter analysis.
- Review & Enhancement: Review credit limit applications by performing customer due diligence checks and portfolio assessment to better establish appropriate trading limit for various groups of clients. Participate in system development and enhancement projects and updating operating manual
- Risk Management: Identify and report key risks material to the Group and recommend mitigating solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to credit risk management. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare periodic reports and presentations for senior management and regulators, summarizing credit exposures, risk metrics, and key findings. Maintain comprehensive documentation of credit analyses and risk management processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on timely debt recovery matters.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in brokerage or financial industry with credit risk control exposure would be preferred.
- Experiences in Options and Futures risk management would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within the Group
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
