Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor vessels to ensure safe navigation.
- Issue company warnings/circulars through the Marine Department and communicate with ship managers.
- Analyze incidents and reports, providing proper countermeasures.
- Monitor vessel operations and provide safety alerts or weather warnings for safe navigation.
- Conduct vessel inspections and office audits for ship managers.
- Hold safety meetings with ship managers.
- Summarize KPI and HSEQ analysis.
- Review and monitor tank cleaning plans and progress.
- Suggest improvements or changes to procedures and internal/external manuals.
- Collect and assess information on new marine regulations and safety/security circulars from third parties.
- Manage company applications for approval.
Requirements:
- Class 1 CoC (Deck)
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in tanker operations or working with tanker companies.
- Master Mariner on tankers; experience with chemical tankers or at least 5 years onboard tankers preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
