The Associate Psychologist will provide psychotherapy triaging and conduct supportive counselling to patients and accurate identification of risk and crisis intervention.
Responsibilities
- Flag up cases to Psychologists/Doctors for further assessment.
- Refer patients to alternative services or progress their treatment to a higher-intensity psychological therapy if necessary.
- Deliver psychoeducation and equip patients and caregivers with knowledge about managing their mental health
- He/She will perform telephonic/video consult for patients that require psychosocial follow up service.
- Assist to track clinical indicators as required by the team and perform accurate operational administrative duties such as documentations of patients’ details in the electronic medical records, data compilation of workload and tracking patients seen for supportive counselling
Requirements:
- Bachelor in Psychology from an accredited University
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate effective organisation and planning skills
- Interest in clinical psychology and primary care mental health
- Willing to travel to different polyclinics.
- Proficient in MS Office
