Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit budget estimates based on tender drawings, Bills of Quantities (BQ) for all disciplines, and cost estimates.
- Manage progress claims, variation orders, and evaluation of contractor claims.
- Assist in awarding contracts, reviewing contract documents, and providing recommendations on contractor valuations.
- Oversee pre- and post-contract activities, including monitoring materials and construction costs, site valuations, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Handle operational matters related to contractual issues and contract administration.
- Monitor scope changes and contract conditions; apply for extensions of time if necessary.
- Obtain quotations from contractors and suppliers for cost assessments, analysis, and budgeting.
- Collaborate & Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
- Coordinate with the finance department on payment-related matters, monitor monthly cash flow projections, and provide physical reports for ongoing projects.
- Attend site valuations, conduct site measurements, and participate in regular meetings.
- Prepare and verify payment certificates and finalize project accounts.
- Ensure the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Undertake other tasks assigned by management as necessary.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of working relevant experience in related field of Quantity Surveying.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
- Fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
