Responsibilities:
- Provide expert claims adjusting for specialty business lines, ensuring adherence to best practices and claims protocols.
- Manage a portfolio of claims, assess policy liability, calculate reserves, determine settlement values, and deliver timely reporting.
- Support operational performance and foster continuous improvement in line with the Single Risk claims strategy.
- Collaborate with underwriters to offer feedback and assist in developing the book of business.
- Build and maintain client relationships, managing key accounts independently or with underwriters.
- Represent the claims department in internal and external meetings, including broker and policyholder reviews.
- Handle major risk events and coordinate globally with Claims and Technical Assistance teams for consistent claims response.
- Offer mentoring, training, and participate in peer reviews and market initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements, and support claims activity under matrix reporting structures.
- Deputize for senior colleagues and assist underwriters in growing construction, energy, or property portfolios.
Requirements:
- About 7 years of experience in an international market claims handling role with expertise.
- High level of claims reporting & analytical skills to produce quality claims management reports(LLN/CEM/Flash Notices) and produce claims analysis and claims management strategies
- Expertise and knowledge of claims handling Engineering Power and Property, Energy, Construction, Casualty Lines of Business in multi-national risks market.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and able to contribute and work effectively in a matrix environment
- The ability to develop an understanding and detailed knowledge of specialist product line.
- Client relationship management - ability to show credibility with and able to build strong relationships with underwriters and senior executives
