We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager on behalf of our client, a leading organization in the health and pharmaceutical industry. This role is pivotal in driving financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance across the company's operations, while also providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and have the ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure the financial success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, offering insights to support business decisions and financial planning.
- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Partner with department heads to develop, consolidate, and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Track budget performance and communicate variances to senior management, offering insights for realignment.
- Assist in the formulation of strategic financial plans to support the company’s long-term goals.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Implement robust internal control measures to protect company assets and ensure full compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee external audits, ensuring efficient processes and accurate audit schedules.
- Stay current with evolving financial regulations and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Treasury and Cash Management:
- Manage cash flow planning and optimize liquidity to support ongoing operations and minimize financial risk.
- Foster strong relationships with financial institutions to secure necessary funding and manage cost-effective financial services.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify development opportunities for team members.
Financial Strategy and Decision Support:
- Collaborate with the executive team to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Participate in financial due diligence during mergers and acquisitions and contribute to post-merger integration efforts.
Investor Relations and Reporting:
- Support investor relations by providing clear and accurate financial data and responding to inquiries from shareholders and analysts.
- Assist in the preparation of the company’s annual report and other key financial communications with stakeholders.
Consolidation of Group Accounts:
- Oversee the consolidation of financial statements from the parent company and its subsidiaries, presenting a comprehensive view of the group’s financial performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior finance role within the health, pharmaceutical, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
