Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Reporting Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves setting up and configuring a reporting platform, developing ETL scripts, translating business/functional requirements into technical specifications, and creating complex dashboards using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse, and Power BI SaaS.
Key Responsibilities:
· Setup and configure the reporting platform to meet business requirements.
· Translate business/functional requirements into technical specifications.
· Develop and maintain ETL scripts.
· Write and optimize queries, presenting data in reports and dashboards.
· Conduct unit tests, resolve defects, and ensure data accuracy.
Technical Skills and Experience:
ADF (Azure Data Factory):
· Expertise in developing ADF pipelines for data migration and transformation.
· Experience with complex ADF jobs involving the transformation of multiple tables.
· Familiarity with ADF terminologies and coding standards.
Azure Synapse:
· In-depth knowledge of Azure Synapse databases.
· Experience configuring Synapse databases, including data distribution, indexing, and processing of records.
· Proficient in understanding data warehousing units (DWU) and concurrent table processing.
· Integration of Synapse with ADF.
· Familiarity with Synapse access controls, such as service accounts.
Power BI SaaS:
· Proficiency in Power BI builder tools and Power BI Desktop for developing and enhancing paginated reports.
· Ability to develop complex, interactive dashboards.
· Understanding of Free/Pro/Premium Power BI licenses and workspace access management.
· Knowledge of Power BI Gateway setup and configuration.
